ACTING
Siân Started her career in the original cast of Les Miserables in 1985 with the Royal Shakespeare Company and Cameron Mackintosh, she was 19 and had just come to London.
Her first year of a musical theatre course at Arts Educational under her belt, she saw an advert in the stage newspaper for Cosette in Les Miserables, after many auditions she was selected and given her equity card and the rest is history!
Career
Siân is known for playing the Villain Sally Spode in Emmerdale (ITV), Sydney the fun loving nail technician in Cutting it (BBC1), Bianca, loveable sex pot in Sky’s Mount Pleasant, Home wrecker Charlie Woods in Coronation Street (ITV) and most recently victim Claudia Rose in The following Events are Based on A Pack Of Lies for Sister Global BBC.
She loved her time with the Royal Shakespeare Company, and returned for another huge musical and then a Season including a Poliakoff play Talk of the City and Nerissa in Merchant of Venice with the wonderful Philip Voss. She has played numerous repertory theatres and national tours over her many years in the business, favourites include, Maria in West Side Story, Sheila Franklin in Hair, The Red Balloon at Bristol Old Vic, Veronica in God of Carnage, Celia in By the Waters of Liverpool, The Case Of Rebellious Susan, Pere Goriot, The House of Bernada Alba. Favourite films include Carol in The Time of Their Lives with Joan Collins, Five Seconds to Spare with Ray Winstone, and Jo in a wonderful new film called Rejoyce.
Her television career has been extensive and has loved being in the many British and now global productions, including Emergency Exit, Agatha Raisin, Shakespeare and Hathaway, The Dumping ground, Still open all Hours, Mountain Goats, Lunch Monkeys, Hope Springs, City Lights and Northern Lights.
